Mission Statement

The Denominational Affairs Committee promotes participation in Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) and Mountain Desert District (MDD) activities by members of First Unitarian.

Policies and Procedures (December 8, 2008)

The Denominational Affairs Committee monitors an annual calendar to assure that the timing of conferences and events of interest to the members of the Congregation are adequately publicized. This is accomplished by hosting Sunday forums and information tables, and providing articles in the Messenger. Our primary focus is to encourage member participation at UUA General Assembly and Mountain Desert District conferences and at meetings, by providing financial assistance. Monthly packets from UUA and MDD of planned activities are reviewed and publicized as needed. Committee meetings are scheduled by agreement for the convenience of committee members.
