"We have drunk from wells we did not dig
We have been warmed by fires we did not build
Now let us, in our turn
Give freely and gladly to the future."

We value this church and all that it has to offer us, our visitors, our children, and the community. It feels good to support it financially. Each year we raise and spend more than half a million dollars to fund the buildings, staff, programs, and services that assist us in developing our spiritual and community life. This page offers more information about church finances, how we collect and use money, and how you can contribute to our church and its activities.

Pledges

We encourage people to give generously to our operating fund each year. Our pledge drive, conducted each fall, gives us information about people's intentions so that we can budget for our fiscal year (which is the calendar year, January 1 through December 31).

Designated Giving

Sometimes individuals become interested in a project that just can not be funded in this way, and they inquire about designating a financial gift to be used in a particular way. We have had some wonderful projects start off with designated gifts. Our interns are paid from a designated gift, for instance, and our iMinistry project started out the same way. If there's something you would really like to see happen around here, and you would like to fund it, please speak to someone on the staff or Finance Committee about your idea.

The Sunday Collection and Change for the Future

Every Sunday, we take an offering as a part of our service. We do this not only to collect money, but to express our gratitude. The paper money and checks placed in the offering baskets go to the church's budget. (If we know who the money has come from, we apply it to the person's pledge account if they have made a pledge.)

We also encourage everyone to put their loose change in the baskets. Each month the loose change is donated to a worthy charity in our community. These donations amount to about $6,000 a year.
