LIBRARY COMMITTEE

Our Unitarian Universalist purposes and principles encourage us in a lifelong search for truth and meaning. As in any UU congregation, we here at First Unitarian are on many religious, philosophical, and spiritual paths, yet we are joined by the common thread of those core principles. The First Unitarian Library Committee has a mission: to support your personal quest by maintaining an extensive collection of books that cover a variety of religious topics and related areas. Our hope is that the gems you gain from reading these titles may be helpful to you in developing your own theology, set of beliefs, or personal philosophy of life.

William Parish Library

The William Parish Library is housed in the sanctuary building at our Albuquerque location; the door is on the north wall of the main room. The total collection numbers over 1,500 books, and each Sunday we bring a selection of our favorites to the social hall during coffee hour where you may check them out for one month.

To access the library at other times or to view the rare books collection, please check with the church office.

The Book Shop at Our Albuquerque Location

Look for our book shop in the social hall during coffee hour! We carry an assortment of books on Unitarian Universalism as well as other relevant and timely topics. All profits support the purchase of books for the library.

Book Donations

We appreciate your donation of new and used books, especially books that are used in our adult education classes. If you have any interesting cookbooks in good condition, those are particularly popular! Any books we cannot use or sell are passed on to the Albuquerque Public Library.

Library Catalog

A catalog will soon be available online, and library materials will be available via USPS or courier. In the meantime, all church members may access library materials in Albuquerque.
